From this perspective, the Legal Department serves as the reference point for regulatory compliance, the main supporter for achieving justice, and the guarantor of stability in the organizational environment for academic and administrative work.

Legal work at the university has today become a cornerstone of development and transformation, not limited to reviewing contracts or defending rights, but extending to contributing to the formulation of policies and regulations, and enabling university leadership to make sound decisions based on solid regulatory foundations, while keeping pace with the university's ambitions to become an independent non-profit academic institution with global impact.

We work in partnership with all university units, colleges, and centers to provide legal consultations, establish principles of integrity and transparency, and build an institutional culture aware of regulations and bylaws. We also strive to develop our legal tools and benefit from international best practices, in a manner consistent with the university's uniqueness and enhancing the independence granted by the Basic Statute.

Thanks to the generous support and patronage that King Saud University receives from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince – may Allah protect them – and through the guidance of the wise leadership, alongside the support of the University Board of Directors and its executive leadership, the Legal Department continues to fulfill its mission as a strategic partner in transformation and as a guarantor for protecting the university's rights and interests, thereby enhancing its institutional standing and enabling it to achieve its strategic goals at both national and global levels.
